Why this blog you might ask?
I have decided to write about my experiences vacationing in Old Forge (since the age of 5). My family used to own a camp on 3rd Lake years ago while my mom worked at the Bald Mountain Hotel as a children's hostess. So obviously, this destination has a place in our hearts....so now I am passing the tradition on to my family.
Those that know me well, have heard me talk LOTS about the ADK & Old Forge. So in response to an overwhelming amount of interest from friends for summer vacations, thus begins....Escape to Old Forge.
Living just outside of Philadelphia, many people travel to "the shore" but after a while that can get old. This is the perfect place to escape the humidity and heat while having some good old-fashioned fun with the family.
